Fruit Tea, Thatchers Funeral and a Wounded cat!

Hello Bloggersville!

So today was Thatchers funeral, there has been so much in the news about this (obviously) and it seems like EVERYONE has an opinion. Not just an opinion but a fierce opinion, either one way or the other. For or against her.

Me? I just have no opinion really, I can see both sides of the argument. The only think I do feel fairly strongly about is respect. Respect for her grieving family. Respect for the people she helped. Respect that she did do some positive things for our Country but mostly, Respect for an old lady who suffered from dementia, whos health has been declining for what seems like forever.
Turning up to some ones funeral just to sneer and boo, and shout obscenities is beyond distasteful. Anyway, onto a more positive note!

Fruit Tea!!

I used to drink fruit teas in my teens but went off them, but now I am fully in love with them again!! I have purchased a Blackberry and Nettle tea and also Orange, Mango and Cinnamon tea. And let me tell you, they are seriously gorgeous. I'm glad I like something else because I have been fully addicted to my Nespresso since xmas.

Poor Pimples...

PIMPLES?! A spot problem?!? I hear you ask. No, No this is the nickname for my cat. Sad, isn't it? His real name is Simba.. It kind of went like this... Simba, Simbles, Crinkles, Pimples... Unfortunately  it has stuck. We refer to our poor cat as pimples.. Please don't ring the RSPCA?! Anyway, he keeps getting into fights with a cat that hangs round our neighbourhood. We have taken to leaving a water spray near the door and if they are fighting we squirt them both until they stop. I absolutely hate when they fight, they're very vocal, they rip fur out and they make each other bleed *Makes sad face* Do any of you lovely lot know anyway we can keep these terrors apart?! Let me know if you have any tips please!!

Meeting Mad Frankie Fraser.

I know this post isn't the usual for my blog, but I have been given the opportunity to go and meet Mad Frankie Fraser. I have been talking to his son, David, on the phone today and he is planning to bring his dad to The Blind Beggar pub in white chapel So we can meet him, have a drink and a chat.

Now, before I get flamed  I don't condone in anyway the things that Frankie has done in the passed but my curiosity is getting the better of me and I want to meet this man. I will try and keep it brief by saying we can't stay long etc.

I do want to check out White Chapel and all the places I've read about so many times in books about The Krays.

I will take some pictures when I go and post them up here. Wish me luck!!!

EDIT

I did change my mind about meeting Frankie. It took me a while to have a good old think about it and an inner fight. But to conclude, I couldn't sit and have a nice chat with a murderer/torturer, It's so very wrong on a million levels.

I will, however, still be going to White Chapel for a mooch.

March Glossy Box - 2013

Why why why are my glossy boxes getting here SO late? When they're late I always end up seeing what will probably be in mine before it comes, so it ruins the surprise a bit.

Oh well, I'll get on with telling you what was in mine anyway...

So this months box was a City Chic theme, which was kind of cool. I actually liked most of the stuff in this months box.

First up was a Tresemme Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray.

Now I'm all for hair products but because was a little disappointed with this as I don't really class a full size hairspray, at £4.69 for 500ml, a luxury item. I have used this hairspray before and it's ok, gets the job done... Just nothing you would write home about.

Elizabeth Arden - 8 Hour Cream.

Quiet excited about this one, it's definitely more of a balm then a cream, but that's fine for me as i can get fairly dry skin. I put a little bit on my lips and even after eating I could still feel it on there, so that's good. Looking forwards to seeing what my opinion is on this after a week.

Nails Inc - Bruton Street.

Been looking at Nails Inc polishes for a while now. I normally stick to Barry M, Maybelline Color Show, and Chine Glaze. So not overly expensive ones. Nails Inc do a duo Chrome colour that I wanted to try but was umming and arring over spending £10+ on a varnish. So I'm glad they sent me this one, it's really nice. Goes on nice and pigmented and hasn't chipped yet (day 2!)

L'occitane En Provence - Immortelle Precious Cream.

Another one I'm looking forwards to trying. I think L'occitane come out with some amazing products. Not much to say on this one as not tried it yet. Will give this a go this week probably and report back.

Jelly Pong Pong - Lip Blush

Loved this!! It's not to sheer and not to pigmented, it's just spot on. Only qualms are that it came in red, and I'm not brave enough to wear a red lip and when I went on the website to look for a diff colour, they only had two colours, one being the red and the other being a pink. Not over impressed with those colours, which is a shame.

Moroccan Oil... Is it worth the hype?!

I recently climbed aboard the Moroccan Oil band wagon. I purchased a small 25ml bottle. I've used it now 4 times on my hair, I wash my hair like normal, towel dry it then apply some Moroccan Oil before I dry and style.

First thing I noticed was the smell, Oh gosh. It's such a LOVELY smell. I'm so into nice smelling hair products so that was a big plus for me.

I'm not sure what to think of it to be honest. Yes it gave me a nice shine, but then so do most £3 serums. I will carry on using it though, because 1) It smells lovely and 2) I may notice more of a difference in a few weeks *Hopeful*

Have any of you used any of the Moroccan Oil products and if so what did you think?

Urban Decay - Oz the Great and Powerful Palette review

So last week my boyfriend very kindly bought me an Urban Decay palette he knew that I had been lusting after. It's the "Oz the Great and Powerful Theodora Palette"

I'm loving all the colours in this palette, which is unusual for me because there's normally one or two that I'm not keen on. The colours are mostly kind of earthy neutral colours.

The palette also comes with a Super-Saturated High-Gloss lip colour in the shade "Theodora" and a Black 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil.

Urban Decay always seem to get it spot on and this was a brilliant mash up with Disney. The colours are so pigmented and they go on so so smoothly. I shall be going to a concert at the end of this month and I really want to try a kind of smoky green eye with this palette. Think it would look amazing!!

Review - Burts Bees - Banana and Beeswax Hand Cream

Hello again my lovely readers, I thought today I would do a quick review on a product I have recently purchased. I'd also like to say that I will always be painfully honest with my reviews, good or bad. OK, with that said... lets crack on shall we?

Burts Bees - Banana and beeswax Hand Cream.

Now I am a fan of Mr Bees, I have had a fair few products from the range and nearly always been impressed. I was most excited when I saw this Hand Cream as I love banana scented products (I'm childish like that.)

I've been using this product for a few weeks now, I am an avid hand moisturiser, I am constantly trying new products and brands and trying to find a nice one. Dry hands on me or others makes me cringe.

On opening this hand cream you can smell the banana instantly, it's a real yummy banana smell, a little bit like those foam banana sweeties. Yum. The texture is fairly thick, as in, you could turn the jar upside down with the lid off and nothing would come out.

It settles into the skin nicely and leaves a lovely scent and also a kind of film across the skin which I'm guessing is the beeswax, this also acts like a mini barrier. Now, I like that as I get dry hands and they need the extra help, but I'm guessing if you don't like heavy products on your hands then this may not be the best choice for you.

All in all, with it's lovely scent and how it kept my hands soft for ages this product gets an 8/10 from me. The only downside is the price, it costs nearly £8 for 57g.

Well this was a bit long winded wasn't it? I shall try and keep reviews a tad shorter in the future..
